After Capitol Management made the strategic decision to enter the hospitality sector, the company commissioned Cushman & Wakefield to conduct a comprehensive nationwide study analyzing demand, prospects, and development potential in Georgia’s tourism and hospitality industries. The study identified several high-potential areas for hotel development, including Bakuriani Resort.
At the end of 2019, Capitol Real Estate signed an agreement with Marriott International to open the first internationally branded hotel in Bakuriani under the Four Points by Sheraton brand. The hotel will be located approximately 185 kilometers from central Tbilisi and the city’s international airport.
The hotel will feature 116 modern-design guest rooms, a Georgian cuisine restaurant, a 150-person conference hall, a lounge and lobby bar, a children’s entertainment area, parking facilities, an indoor swimming pool, as well as wellness spa and fitness centers.
Four Points by Sheraton Bakuriani, located near the unique Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, is poised to become a prime destination for travelers and nature lovers seeking scenic beauty and relaxation. Business travelers will also benefit from a fully equipped, state-of-the-art conference facility.
Project Implementation
The project’s investor is Capitol Management, while development will be carried out by group member Simetria, a premium real estate development company. Once the property is operational, hotel management will be handled by another member of the group — Hotel Collection International Georgia. Currently, the project is at the investment attraction stage.
